Elder Baucom in Virginia

  Whats up email! Happy Fathers days shoutout pops, Nobe, Grandpa, and of course Heavenly Father . Quite a bit has gone down since we last touched base so I'll hit u with a quick update. First off Elder Spencer is all graduated and out of his training RIP, Elder Rigdon Mills after being here for a calm one transfer got out of here and is in Souther Richmond (bouta get slimed). Coming in from right next door to be my comp was Elder Pipes. He was in our zone already and then he just rolled up over here so I already have pulled up on some exchanges with him so you can pretty much say we are homies. He is from Manti, Utah and is one of the most Christlike people I have ever met second to only Johnny Biggs. It has been a great time with him and comp chemistry is up at least 30% so that's definitely a plus.   Whats up email! Hope everybody has been doing well! What another amazing couple weeks here in the best commonwealth in the world.  We have had some awesome baptisms in the last couple of weeks. Lemme give you a quick rundown on them- First off our homie Rees. We were just chilling at church when Rees walked in after never having any contact from missionaries. Of course we swooped him up and we taught him there at church and set up a lesson with him later that week. After a spirit felt lesson we threw him on date for baptism and he was going strong. After a couple of weeks though we lost contact with him just out of the blue. But he remembered what he felt and he made his way back. We were able to be witnesses for his baptism in the first landing state park bay which was so chill!   Whats up everybody! I have been super lazy lately not gonna lie and that's why it's been radio silence in Virginia Beach for the last 6 weeks but either way I am here and it's been a great transfer with a lot going on!  First off, the area here has been pretty awesome! When we first got here it was not it I was pretty mad to leave the promised land of Harrisonburg Virginia with Elder Mulholland but Elder Mills, Elder Spencer and I have been straight grinding and I now actually have such a love for this area and the people in it. Unfortunately Elder Mills was on his last transfer so he is now just Trevor and he is in Malad City Idaho. Watch out Ella Spencer.   Whats good email its been a minute and thats cause I have been too busy balling. My b. Anyways, missionary work is still super awesome. I got transferred from Harrisonburg back to Virginia Beach #Pretty but ghetto. I was pretty sad to leave Elder Mulholland, my amazing son, in Harrisonburg, which is genuinely the best area in the mission. But the work still goes on. I am in First Landing which is a mad chill area with a lot of hood dudes who I got a lot of practice on in my training so it's pretty fun to be back. It's actually sick because a lot of the finding we would do in my training we go to the same exact spots as Providence(shout out town center and Ms Utah).  As far as comps go its pretty goated as well.   What is up everyone! Been a good lil bit here in Harrisonburg. Love this area and my guy Elder Mulholland so much it's been awesome.  Since last time I wrote one of these john's the highlight was definitely Yusuf's baptism. It was so awesome to see someone who didn't really even understand Christianity to be bearing powerfull testimony at his baptism. Such a goat. Satan was trying to to prevent his baptism though. We pulled up to the actual font and that thing was so dirty. We had to scrub that thing down and when we were actually filling the font it took about 3 hours for it to fill and when we pulled up to dunk him it was nearly drained. We still baptized him even though there was about a foot of water. Nearly concussed him on the floor but luckily Yusuf is not in the weight room too much so we were able to pull him out before he hit his head.   What's up everyone! It has been a fortnight since I have written and once again that's on me. But it's been a good lil bit here in Harrisonburg! Hit 6 months as a missionary not too long ago and it was also my mom and Elizabeth Florence's birthday so it's been a very eventful last couple of days. We had some great lessons over the last couple weeks! We had a great couple of ones with our boy Yusuf who's gonna be baptized on the 8th. He plays basketball for his school and when we invited him to play with us at some point he said he needs some good comp if he is gonna actually come. I took that personally Yusuf. Bouta dunk him like Shawn Kemp in a couple weeks though so that's gonna be lit.  We still are teaching our friend Cindy who is literally so awesome. She can't help but ball her eyes out whenever she comes to church and we read 3rd Nephi 11 with her yesterday and that was probably the most spiritual lesson of my mission.
