What is up everyone! Been a good lil bit here in Harrisonburg. Love this area and my guy Elder Mulholland so much it's been awesome.
Since last time I wrote one of these john's the highlight was definitely Yusuf's baptism. It was so awesome to see someone who didn't really even understand Christianity to be bearing powerfull testimony at his baptism. Such a goat. Satan was trying to to prevent his baptism though. We pulled up to the actual font and that thing was so dirty. We had to scrub that thing down and when we were actually filling the font it took about 3 hours for it to fill and when we pulled up to dunk him it was nearly drained. We still baptized him even though there was about a foot of water. Nearly concussed him on the floor but luckily Yusuf is not in the weight room too much so we were able to pull him out before he hit his head. But for sure highlight of the email.
We out here gathering Israel and the only out here in Harrisonburg Israel just looks like people who have moved from Africa within the past couple years. Over the past few weeks we have been finding African after African and they are so locked in. We have like 5 on date now and they just keep on referring us to their family and then their friends and next thing you know we bouta have a whole Swahili branch in here.
Some calm highlights
- went to a kingdom hall this P day to get one of the Jehova witnesses bibles
-pulled up to our boy Yusufs game (they lucky I don't lace up anymore) they lost by like 30 but got a good lil post game pic
- Went to soccer night with the Spanish ward with our friend who biked 40 minutes to the church in the dark
I also had a pretty goated exchange the goat Elder Truehaft. They are the ZLs and they cover JMU. They ran through JMU so much that pretty much everyone that sees us knows we are gonna invite them for church so we had to spice it up a little bit we would run up at people and throw them a pool noodle and start sword fighting them. It was the only way they would give us the time of day cause JMU students are mad evil (reteP) and dont keep any commitments so I will stick with my Africans.
Spiritual Thought
Over the last couple of days we have had a lot of lessons with people who have been asking some deeper questions that really could not have been answered by someplace that does not have the fullness of the gospel. They have been church to church unable to find answers until they roll up on the Book of Mormon. Take advantage of the restoration and read The Book of Mormon @Roger Baucom.
