Whats up everybody! I have been super lazy lately not gonna lie and that's why it's been radio silence in Virginia Beach for the last 6 weeks but either way I am here and it's been a great transfer with a lot going on!
First off, the area here has been pretty awesome! When we first got here it was not it I was pretty mad to leave the promised land of Harrisonburg Virginia with Elder Mulholland but Elder Mills, Elder Spencer and I have been straight grinding and I now actually have such a love for this area and the people in it. Unfortunately Elder Mills was on his last transfer so he is now just Trevor and he is in Malad City Idaho. Watch out Ella Spencer. Elder Mills replacement was another Elder named Elder Mills he is also an old head who is about to go home and is pretty chill but we still got my son Elder Spencer.
Some of the highlights of the last transfer
We had a friend of ours who is dating one of our members Niko alongside with her family commit to being baptized! We have been teaching them in some mega mansion in Virginia Beach where they would chef up some amazing meals before the spirit chefed up some amazing lessons. The main focus of our lesson was to get Nevada baptized who was dating our member with her mom being some moral support but she eventually decided she wanted to get some runs in and next thing you know she's on date as well. Once you hear the restored gospel there's really no turning back.
The best part of the transfer was our guy Brian being baptized this week! Brian is such a goat. He has been getting taught by missionaries for years and years now with his wife also being a member but he finally made the decision to do it. He slowly but surely made his way into the waters but he had what was one of the most wholesome baptisms ever. His family is so amazing and for them to watch their dad get baptized was one of my favorite experiences on my mission to be a first hand witness too.
We also have had some awesome exchanges. I have been able to get to know a lot of missionaries and to hear their stories and why they are out in the mission field is always an awesome experience.
Moses 7
28 And it came to pass that the God of heaven looked upon the residue of the people, and he wept; and Enoch bore record of it, saying: How is it that the heavens weep, and shed forth their tears as the rain upon the mountains?
29 And Enoch said unto the Lord: How is it that thou canst weep, seeing thou art holy, and from all eternity to all eternity?
In this chapter Enoch and his people were lifted up into heaven and God is looking upon the residue of the people and their wickedness. I love how this shows the personality of God in how he is truly a loving Heavenly Father. Someone that is holy from eternity to all eternity weeps for us. God has a perfect love for each of you!
