Providence, sweet Providence

 What up yall!

Got here in Virginia on wenesday and its been a great time. My companion is an awesome dude. His name is Elder Ford and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He's been a great trainer and he has taught me so much in my small time being here in Virginia. I also am living with two other Elders who are also way cool, Elder Whaley, and Elder Sharp. We have a great apartment with all the stuff you could need. Maybe a little short on food but that changes on p day today. 

When I first got here I got my welcome to the field moment as we dropped my bags the second we got here and rode in a crazy rain storm to go invite people to church in a parking lot only to get Bible bashed. I thought that would be the normal until the next day we invited in parking lots and people and the weather were a lot nicer to us. A lot of people around here already have a church and don't love the idea of going to another church. It has been fun experimenting different ways to invite people though. Everyone here loves Jesus so if you talk about him you win them over. 

Highlights of the week-

Our thunderstorm bike ride

Ran into Hebrew Israelites and they tried to bash us which was funny

Had  my first Wendy's biggie bad saturday

Our ward is super nice and its gonna be nice to have them available for lessons

Learning how to cook Covered some suspicious plants for some guy during the thunderstorm

We had 3 people we invited come to church

And yeah majority of our days have been asking people to come to church in parking lots and a few lessons. The MTC did not entirely prepare me for the lessons. The conversations are all over the place so you need to be thinking on your feet but the people always have a strong testimony of Jesus. Virginia is really green and pretty and the people here are awesome. Really happy to be here.

  What's up everyone! Im writing this on my new android phone with really bad autocorrect so bear with me here.  5th day of provo MTC and I think I finally might be locked in on the missionary lifestyle. Being able to wake up at 6:30 every day has truly been a miracle. Bless up. I would seriously kill for a nap but I guess those aren't allowed around here. I got super lucky with my district we all get along pretty well. My companion Elder Bills is a dog. He has been telling me about his adventures in the harsh mountains of Idaho. Providence Week 4

  Howdy yall it's been yet another week here in Providence and it seems to just be going faster and faster every week. This week was one of the more testing weeks on my mission. We didn't find a whole lot of people and with that there were quite a few bashers mixed in as well. It has honestly been a blessing in disguise though because every person who tries to bash us has been giving us new questions we have been able to take apart. Each one we were able to come up with a great response too.  It really has made me confident in our gospel.   This week me and Elder Ford were able to go on an exchange with our zone leaders who are way fun and are great examples of missionaries. They are also great teachers so it was way cool to see a great lesson up close and personal. Providence Week 3

  What's up everybody! Yet another great week here in Providence and it’s crazy to me that a week has passed since my last email. It's already starting to go so fast. This week started off with me and Elder Ford being solo since the other companionship in our apartment was on an exchange with another companionship. It felt really weird living with just one other person but elder Ford still made it fun. This week we also had our exchange but it was with the companionship in our apartment who we share the same area with which was probably one of my favorite days on the mission. The other companions are starting their own area as well so most of the people they teach are just people found on the street so me and Elder Sharp were just out finding all day.
