Providence Week 2

 Howdy y'all!

Bear with me here I am not running a bit low on sleep. We went and saw the sunrise this morning so this email may not make sense. The last week has been super awesome! I feel like I am finally comfortable being here in this area. I was able to meet most of the people that we were teaching. I also got some last minute cancels on lessons too. But when they did end up happening most of them were pretty spiritual experiences. In one of them I was able to give a priesthood blessing which was way cool. We still are a little bit low on people to teach because we are started this area one transfer ago so when we go out finding we really need to find people.

Finding people or going out and talking to people in parking lots is what we have been mainly doing and through doing that you can truly see the duality of man. I have been cussed out or met some of the nicest dudes ever. One of them was Lavon who we met outside Walmart and we talked for like an hour and a half. When we were done talking he gave us a rare dollar bill (yeah idk either), some pamphlet for his church, and a picture of Michael Jordan. In exchange we got him a book of Mormon. We have had a bunch of other cool interactions like that although every one here already has a church so trying to convince people to come to ours has been a struggle. When we do find someone who doesn't have a church we can usually get their number but we are still working on teaching them principals afterwards rather than just talking.

Our apartment has gotten pretty close over the last week too. Over our small free time we have been having a great time on monopoly and we have also have some great spiritual talks. Also my companion has been a great trainer and he has taught me everything I know out here. Shootout elder Ford. Me and him have also had some great members dinners throughout the week. #thanks yall members

A talk I listened to at the beginning of this week that really changed by perspective was one from President Nelson called Joy and spiritual survival. It has made me be able to enjoy all the tough parts of the mission.

So ya overall great week!
