 What's up everyone!

Welcome back to another email coming from here in Virginia Beach Virginia. This week was an awesome week with lots that happened!

To start us off I was able to have an interview with our mission president, President Warburton. Every missionary in the mission gets a 15 minute interview with pres. When talking to him I was able to learn a lot on how to be a better missionary. He shared with me advice that helped make this week a lot more productive.

This week one of the lows was that our car got taken away. One of the other missionaries crashed and needed an emergency car so ours got swooped. The four days we did have the car were glorious. I honestly don't mind it after biking for 2 months straight I honestly think that the Tour de France could not handle me.

My companion Elder Rogers has been a great reason why this week has been so successful. He's been a big help and with him being out for more than a year he knows what to do in all situations.

This week it was my first time watching the whole entire general conference. It was awesome. There were so many powerful talks that I needed to hear and they felt really directed to the friends that we are teaching. We were able to send some to our friends and they were able to really enjoy them. It was heavenly to be able to sit down in a dark room all day and feel kinda productive while doing it.

We also had an amazing experience with our friend Kathy! Kathy is a deaf woman who was previously on date for baptism pretty close to what was a year ago. She texted us this week after what had been months of no contact saying she really wanted to meet with us. This is pretty unheard of around here and we excitedly scheduled something for Wednesday. With our member who can half interpret asl we were ready for her at the church. She was a no show. She ghosted us for a day and we asked if she could reschedule. We agreed on 7:30 that night but she thought it was for the next day so yet again it was a no show. But then on the day she texts us that she was on her way. Within ten minutes of the lesson we were able to put her on date! This was such an amazing experience and the spirit was just so strong. She was so happy.

Spiritual thought-
I figured I would share a talk from a conference that I really enjoyed. There were a variety like Elder Kevin Brown or Elder Eyering but Elder Kierans was one of my favorites. He talks about how our church is a church of new beginnings. We celebrate daily repentance alongside with the opportunity weekly to renew our covenants and start again. Does not matter whatsoever what you previously were a week ago but after taking part of the sacrament you can start a new week with a promise to always have the spirit with you. This is something I have taken from granted back home and out here I have really grown to appreciate this amazing opportunity.
