Sept. 29, 2025

This week was a great week here in Providence. It all started with our P day where we played pickleball yet again and goodness me it got ugly. For some reason everyone in my district turned into Prime Roger Federer so yeah I got cooked. Afterwards I was able to mentally recover at Texas roadhouse paid for by our senior missionary couple. While we were there we got a phone call saying that next transfer they would have a car here in Providence! AYYYY (shoutout j lat). Having to bike everywhere has made it pretty hard to do efficient missionary work in the area so they got us a car. That was some awesome news to end off a great p day.

This week was also the last week of my transfer. It's so crazy a transfer has already passed and I had gotten the sad news that Elder Ford who was my trainer is abandoning me. Rip. So for all of Wednesday we were driving up to Richmond and saying our goodbyes to our district who was leaving. I got to meet my new comp Elder Rogers who is way smart. On the car ride back (in our car) he told me all about theology and deep doctrine. Mostly a bunch of stuff I didn't know I wanted to know. With him being here I needed to lead out the area so pretty much make all our phone calls plan out our days and show Elder Rogers where everything is. That's been a lil stressful but I feel like it has helped me grow as a missionary a bunch.

We have had a pretty successful week and we were able to put our first friend on a date whose name was Tiffany! The lesson at church was our covenantal relationship with God (thanks for the lob relief society) and we told her all about covenants and she wanted to get baptized.

Me and Elder Rogers have been able to have some good chemistry teaching together over the last week and I am really excited for this upcoming transfer because of it.

Spiritual thought-
With the passing of our Prophet President Nelson I have been looking at all his amazing talks that he has given over the years. One of my favorites from him is Think Celestial. I can't put it as well as President Nelson but in the talk President Nelson says how we should go about everyday life with an eternal mindset. Thinking of how our choices will affect us eternally rather than just right now. This has really helped me get out of bed and be motivated knowing that eternally I will be happy with the decisions I am making. I invite y'all to do the same!
