 What's up yall!

This week was honestly a pretty uneventful week in all honesty.

We had a fun p day where we went to this place called Mission BBQ which is insanely good. After that we carved some pumpkins and not to flex or anything but we did win the contest between every one in the zone. After that we went over to great clips and I got faded and officially have been rocking the missionary haircut.

We have been having a find grind every day. Although not much was found with that. The weather here has been a nice constant of rain storms so trying to stop people from getting out of the rain to talk about Jesus was pretty difficult. My current trainer really lets me be in control of our findings. He says he is trying to help me grow but when he just leaves everything to me I start to question his motivations. Although we did not talk to too many new people, the people we are consistently teaching are some studs.

We got our girl Kathy who rolled up on us already knowing the word of wisdom, law of chastity, and law of tithing and wanting fully to commit herself to that. Alongside that, her lessons being in ASL has made it so much fun to teach her. And I have been picking up some ASL myself as well.

We also had a really cool lesson with our friend Chenequa who we just met and had a lesson on the restoration of the church the week prior. Pretty normal lesson as we invited her to read the introduction of the book of Mormon and pray about its truthfulness. As we met with her this week we asked her how reading had gone and she talked about how she wanted to name her child Nephi! We had no clue she was pregnant and with it being a girl we did have to tell her that he was a man of large stature but hey its your choice. That was really cool and after that we had a great lesson as well.

It's been nice after a long day of finding going back home to the other Elders in our apartment. It's always a good time when we get back and I honestly don't know if I could be doing this without him. So that's been really nice.

Spiritual thought:

3 Nephi 17: 7

Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy.

Being out here for this short time being able to recognize the atonement working has been an amazing blessing. Seeing myself alongside with my friends grow closer to Christ every single day has only solidified my testimony on Jesus Christ's atonement. He works through us every day and as we turn to him we can be healed in whatever trial we are in.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Love all of you guys!
