 What's up again everybody!

12th overall week in the field starting to feel like unc. But I really have been enjoying it every week. It's been really fulfilling. 

Well this pday was a great time. We played scum for about three hours and I was drawing comparisons to 2000s Shaq absolutely dominant. Was kings spot the whole time except when Elder Sharp took it from me in the last bit but it was honestly just a charity move on my end. After that we played some basketball and overall it was a pretty awesome p day. 

This week we had exchanges with our DL, Elder Sharp. Me and Elder Sharp currently don't have sim cards so we had to go off the grid the whole day. We were able to visit some cool people, we dunked on some random kids that we drove past, hit up b dubs and we were also able to put the other Elder's friend Matthew on date. This was their first lesson with him and Elder Sharp and I didn't even know what he looked like. But despite the odds it was an awesome lesson and now he's on date. It sucks I won't be able to teach him anymore but hey it was good while it lasted. 

We also got reunited with what was a previous Elder in our mission Elder VanKatwik. He came and went with us at the Old Dominion University and it was great to see him again. Later on we went to get some dinner with him and I didn't even need to pay. Shoutout Brother Vankawik. 

Also there was a dark day this week. But at the end of the day I am a Utah man until I die. Of course all the other Elders here are Byu fans so I am fighting for my life out here. But you already know I was wearing my Utah tie to church after the tough loss to let them know I AM A UTAH MAN TILL I DIE. Cmom man, that's too easy. 

Other than that it was sort of the same old same old around here. Just a bunch of great lessons and parking lots.

And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them

This is one of my favorite verses in the Book of Mormon talking about how we are all given spiritual gifts from God. They all come in different ways and trying to utilize them can not only help build up our own testimonies but others as well.

  What's up everyone! Im writing this on my new android phone with really bad autocorrect so bear with me here.  5th day of provo MTC and I think I finally might be locked in on the missionary lifestyle. Being able to wake up at 6:30 every day has truly been a miracle. Bless up. I would seriously kill for a nap but I guess those aren't allowed around here. I got super lucky with my district we all get along pretty well. My companion Elder Bills is a dog. He has been telling me about his adventures in the harsh mountains of Idaho. He doesn't say much but when he does it's gospel. We had our first teaching appointment yesterday and even with practicing humility we killed it. Providence Week 4

  Howdy yall it's been yet another week here in Providence and it seems to just be going faster and faster every week. This week was one of the more testing weeks on my mission. We didn't find a whole lot of people and with that there were quite a few bashers mixed in as well. It has honestly been a blessing in disguise though because every person who tries to bash us has been giving us new questions we have been able to take apart. Each one we were able to come up with a great response too.  It really has made me confident in our gospel.   This week me and Elder Ford were able to go on an exchange with our zone leaders who are way fun and are great examples of missionaries. They are also great teachers so it was way cool to see a great lesson up close and personal. I was with Elder Johnson and we were chopping it up about bball and he also has one of the best Peter Griffin impressions I have ever heard.  Also on Saturday we were able to visit the college campus...

Providence Week 3

  What's up everybody! Yet another great week here in Providence and it’s crazy to me that a week has passed since my last email. It's already starting to go so fast. This week started off with me and Elder Ford being solo since the other companionship in our apartment was on an exchange with another companionship. It felt really weird living with just one other person but elder Ford still made it fun. This week we also had our exchange but it was with the companionship in our apartment who we share the same area with which was probably one of my favorite days on the mission. The other companions are starting their own area as well so most of the people they teach are just people found on the street so me and Elder Sharp were just out finding all day.
