 What's up everybody!

I am nearing the end of my second transfer here in Providence. About to be out of training out here. Yeah what's up greenies. 

Today is my temple p day so that's why the email is coming out on hump day. On the drive over right now and I can't wait to go. It's been since the MTC so I am really excited. 

This has been a crazy week and a half. It has started to get cold over here alongside some rain finding opportunities to start to slow down. Despite that we have been able to have some good success and our friends have been progressing pretty well. 

First things first I guess my mission is splitting into 2. We got the news this week and there is now going to be a Norfolk Virginia mission. It all starts on July 1st so we have a minute until then but that was still crazy news. So I have the chance to be transferred to another mission with a new mission president and everything. Still not sure what to think because I already love my mission president and everything about this mission. But hey whatever happens happens. 

We had a crazy Saturday this week. We had a normal day where we had a lesson with our friend Chenequa which went pretty well. And then after we had our ward trunk or treat. It was a great time to fellowship and to load up on all the extra candy. The four man costume was the high priest suit combo with the burger king hat and we gave out some really cheap candy that the kids hated us for. We made it up to them by giving them some Jesus pass along cards. All the kids are suckers for the Jesus cards. 

After that we had about an hour left in the night so we rolled up to a place called town center. While we are there we joke around about some crazy bible basher named Peter finding us who is sometimes at town center. We jinxed it and while in mid conversation with some lady he comes up behind me and starts calling me the devil. After he spewed off some old testament verses at me my companion came over and we tried to get out of there. He follows us for like 30 minutes just telling us how wrong we are. He also had some singing in there as well. Eventually I give him a book of Mormon and just tell him to read it and he rips it up in my face #not cool. We then finally got to the car and got out of there but it was one of the craziest bashers I have ever met. 

Anyways the work has been good out here both our friends are still on date for baptism the 9th and I only pray I don't get transferred so I can be there for their baptisms. Either way they should get baptized so that's really exciting.

7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. 

8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

This is one of my favorite verses of all time. Anything you're going through however hard and isolating it may feel The Son of Man has descended below all of that. This is a great reminder of the power and the comfort of the atonement.

  What's up everyone! Im writing this on my new android phone with really bad autocorrect so bear with me here.  5th day of provo MTC and I think I finally might be locked in on the missionary lifestyle. Being able to wake up at 6:30 every day has truly been a miracle. Bless up. I would seriously kill for a nap but I guess those aren't allowed around here. I got super lucky with my district we all get along pretty well. My companion Elder Bills is a dog. He has been telling me about his adventures in the harsh mountains of Idaho. Turns out the MTC teaching appointment are actors but hey a wins a win.  We have had some pretty spiritual classes and thanks to my teachers my testimony has grown so much over the last week. Providence Week 4

  Howdy yall it's been yet another week here in Providence and it seems to just be going faster and faster every week. This week was one of the more testing weeks on my mission. We didn't find a whole lot of people and with that there were quite a few bashers mixed in as well. It has honestly been a blessing in disguise though because every person who tries to bash us has been giving us new questions we have been able to take apart. Each one we were able to come up with a great response too.  It really has made me confident in our gospel.   This week me and Elder Ford were able to go on an exchange with our zone leaders who are way fun and are great examples of missionaries. They are also great teachers so it was way cool to see a great lesson up close and personal. I was with Elder Johnson and we were chopping it up about bball and he also has one of the best Peter Griffin impressions I have ever heard.  Also on Saturday we were able to visit the college campus...

Providence Week 3

  What's up everybody! Yet another great week here in Providence and it’s crazy to me that a week has passed since my last email. It's already starting to go so fast. This week started off with me and Elder Ford being solo since the other companionship in our apartment was on an exchange with another companionship. It felt really weird living with just one other person but elder Ford still made it fun. This week we also had our exchange but it was with the companionship in our apartment who we share the same area with which was probably one of my favorite days on the mission. The other companions are starting their own area as well so most of the people they teach are just people found on the street so me and Elder Sharp were just out finding all day.
