 Greetings and Salutations

Just such another amazing week here is Providence, Virginia Beach. (It's pretty but ghetto pretty but rough just like Virginia Beach) Shoutout that one Drake song.

Anyways these last couple weeks have definitely had some ups and downs. We had the awesome opportunity to meet with the Dunmires. They are a family who decided that their kid who is 12 needs to get baptized so they just reached out to us. This was so cool cause we really don't have just random baptism offers like this so we were really excited to meet with them. As we got there the 12 year old was talking about the council of Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabus, and what his favorite Gospel was. We just talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ like we would with an adult and it went pretty well honestly.

Thanksgiving was so amazing. As missionaries we had our set apart time for personal study and companionship study but outside of that the day was an off day. Our ward had a turkey bowl and you know I had to chef up on the Providence ward. Most of the time I did have people about 20 years older than me guarding me but either way I was snatching ankles. After that we had what was one of the best dinners of my life of course beside my mother's cooking. It was hosted in what was the nicest house I have seen in Virginia and we grubbed. After that we had another dinner scheduled and I thought I was about to die from all the food that I ate.

I did have an awesome exchange with Elder McMullin. He is a new Elder in our four man apartment and I was able to learn a lot from him and about him. It was a great day and we had a great lesson with our recent convert Larry. I have been lucky enough to have these super spiritual weekly lessons with Larry since I have got out in the field and he is just such a goat.

We did have a great church service this Sunday with Elder Rogers and Elder McMullin getting in their bags  on their talks and afterwards we were in charge of teaching the gospel principles class. We had not prepared at all so we had to really get creative to talk about one subject for a whole hour while in front of like 10 people (some serious stadium pulse). Honestly anything is better than the Doctrine and Covenants Sunday school classes with our friends who have never heard of our church so at the end of the day it was a win.

Outside of that we had some pretty standard lessons with some of our friends, nothing too crazy really. It has been tough with Thanksgiving week to get a hold of all of our friends but after a good weekly planning we are about to recover. Also we are getting a car back. They might just snatch it again in the next couple days but hey I'll take what I can get.

Alma 34
38 That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.

With Thanksgiving this week I have been able to reflect on everything that I have been blessed with in my life. I realize how fortunate I am in all aspects of my life. As the scripture says we should live in thanksgiving daily to God in all good and bad situations and whatsoever situation we are in. Through me doing that I have been able to feel a lot more joy day to day.
