Elder Baucom in Virginia

 

  Greetings and Salutations  Just such another amazing week here is Providence, Virginia Beach. (It's pretty but ghetto pretty but rough just like Virginia Beach) Shoutout that one Drake song.  Anyways these last couple weeks have definitely had some ups and downs. We had the awesome opportunity to meet with the Dunmires. They are a family who decided that their kid who is 12 needs to get baptized so they just reached out to us. This was so cool cause we really don't have just random baptism offers like this so we were really excited to meet with them. As we got there the 12 year old was talking about the council of Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabus, and what his favorite Gospel was. We just talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ like we would with an adult and it went pretty well honestly.  Thanksgiving was so amazing.   What's up everybody, another good 2 weeks here in Providence, Virginia. Start of me being out of training. Chahooo.  We just recently got the news that our p day has been changed so that it's 11-9 and we have 3 hour weekly planning. We found out that you can actually plan for 3 hours. It was pretty lit actually. Also we have lessons tonight so we kinda just got our p day taken a little bit. So I am speed running this email not gonna lie As we started this transfer we got the news that our car is gone again. So we are back to biking everywhere. It snowed the other day so we are bundled up like the Michelin man just riding round Providence. It's a good time.  We had a zone conference this week where all the missionaries in the southern part of Virginia come together and get fired up. Howdy yall we are back after what was just a couple of days since temple p days and honestly not a whole lot has happened.  This week we got transfer news and it turns out I am staying. The only person in our apartment who is leaving is Elder Sharp and he is such a dog so that will be a big hit. But other than that same comp Elder Rogers and Elder Whaley will also be a part of the apartment. Which will still be very fun. I was hoping to stay to see all of our friends' baptisms so that was definitely a prayer answered.  Another thing that happened this week was me and Elder Whaley went on an exchange. We were just cruising around on bikes the whole day and had a very successful day. At some point some lady in a parking lot after having a normal conversation with her drove by and handed us a cd talking about the antichrist and asked if we can prayerfully consider the info in there.   What's up everybody! I am nearing the end of my second transfer here in Providence. About to be out of training out here. Yeah what's up greenies.  Today is my temple p day so that's why the email is coming out on hump day. On the drive over right now and I can't wait to go. It's been since the MTC so I am really excited.  This has been a crazy week and a half. It has started to get cold over here alongside some rain finding opportunities to start to slow down. Despite that we have been able to have some good success and our friends have been progressing pretty well.  First things first I guess my mission is splitting into 2. We got the news this week and there is now going to be a Norfolk Virginia mission. It all starts on July 1st so we have a minute until then but that was still crazy news. So I have the chance to be transferred to another mission with a new mission president and everything. Still not sure what to think because I already love my mission preside...
